Paulson Electric designed and constructed the electrical and low voltage systems for Mercy Medical Center’s hybrid operating room (OR).
Combining two traditional operating rooms into one, the hybrid OR allows for live imaging during all kinds of surgical procedures, including open heart surgery.
The electrical design and construction of this healthcare project was particularly challenging as the hospital’s other 17 operating rooms remained in service during construction. In addition to keeping the other operating rooms in service, the hybrid OR’s location over a two story clerestory lobby made the significant in-floor electrical work difficult. Our design build team handled the challenges and delivered a state-of-the-art hybrid OR that will allow Mercy Medical Center providers and staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
