Time was of the essence for Simmons Pet Food, as they raced to convert a former furniture production facility into the largest manufacturing facility in their nationwide portfolio.
Simmons Pet Food decided to locate its new wet pet food production facility in Dubuque, Iowa. We joined the design-build construction team tasked with converting a former furniture manufacturing facility to accommodate Simmons Pet Food’s production line in seven short months.
We worked closely with the construction team to design, budget, and begin construction on the initial phases of the project while continuing to refine future phases. The 275,000-square-foot building initially contained one production line, but the owner quickly added a second line to maximize the use of the facility.
